A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck central Morocco on Friday, September 8.

Moroccan Red Crescent teams were on the ground immediately, coordinating closely with local authorities to support in the search and rescue operation and provide help to affected people. They are providing first aid, psychosocial support and helping transport the injured to hospitals.

The earthquake caused considerable damage and the death toll continues to rise.

The French Red Cross has launched a donation appeal to respond to urgent humanitarian needs of the Moroccan people affected by the earthquake.

Your donation will be doubled by Foundation S - The Sanofi Collective

For each donation, Foundation S - The Sanofi Collective will give the same amount to the French Red Cross.

If you are a French tax payer, you can claim tax relief of 75% of your donation up to €1000, beyond €1000 you can claim 66%, not exceeding 20% of your taxable income. A donation of €100, for example, would cost you only €25 after tax reduction.
